[VIDEO] BELLS TOLLING ON TSHISEKEDI REIGN: Congolese Youths Chant Slogans Against Current President While Carrying Mock Coffin

Each day that passes in the Democratic Republic of Congo, it is becoming evidently clear that one term of President Felix Tshisekedi’s rule is too much for his people.

After a public disapproval of President Tshisekedi’s leadership at the Stade de Martyrs during Pope Francis’ visit, the youths have taken to the street to continue with their message.

The DRC will hold elections on December 20, 2023 and authorities are currently conducting voter registration exercise.

Yet the youths can’t wait for their day to see off President Tshisekedi and his team. Yesterday, they took to the streets to show their displeasure.

Chanting in one of the native languages ‘Tshilombo (President Tshisekedi’s middle name), your head is here’, as they pointed to the coffin they carried while dancing, ululating and exuberant, the youths implicitly suggested the head of State was “dead and buried in the upcoming election.”

The strong message of disapproval has sent shivers in the government and members of the ruling most of whom are still in denial and believe they will win a clean election.
