Leading Opposition Ensemble Pour la Republique President Moïse Katumbi has been received by a thunderous crowd upon his arrival in the town of Kabongo, Haut-Lomami Province as he continues his tour of the Katanga territory.
Katumbi’s visit of Kabongo comes after he was blocked by incumbent President Fèlix Tshisekedi from landing in Kongolo, the town he was initially scheduled to visit today.
Business in the eastern DR Congo town has come to a halt as citizens take to the streets to catch a glimpse of their incoming President.
There were similar and overwhelming crowds of people that had turned up to meet Katumbi during his visit of Malemba-Nkulu and Manono towns during his visit yesterday.
