The National Intelligence Agency (ANR) have banned opposition leader Moïse Katumbi’s plane from landing in Congolese territory from Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Katumbi had traveled to Abidjan to attend last night’s 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations final between Ivory Coast and Nigeria at the invitation of FIFA.
However, Katumbi remains stuck in the Ivorian capital where his plane has not been authorized to depart and land into Lubumbashi.
The former Katanga Governor was also banned from leaving Lubumbashi for Ivory Coast with his private jet by the Civil Aviation Authority who were acting under the instructions of President Fèlix Tshisekedi.
Tshisekedi has since maintained his no flying zone declaration on his political rival who continues to be a victim of the undemocratic rule.
This only the latest act of injustice perpetrated against the opposition leader by the Tshisekedi regime despite having won the fraudulent presidential elections.
