Congolese international striker Benik Afobe has been unveiled by United Arab Emirates top-flight side Al Dhafra Club as a free agent ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Afobe, 30, joins Al Dhafra on a free transfer having been unattached following his departure from another UAE Pro League side Hatta Club at the end of last season.
The Arsenal academy product arrived in the UAE at the beginning of the year as he joined Hatta again on a free transfer after departing from Championship side Millwall.
Afobe has put pen to paper a one-year deal with the club based in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.
He will be looking to rediscover his form to be contention for a place in Sebastien Desabre’s Leopards squad with the AFCON set for January.
Prior to his transfer to Al Dhafra, Afobe had been training at Arsenal’s training facilities in London.
