A leader of the rebel group, M23, which is terrorizing parts of eastern Congo has made a mockery of the Democratic Republic of Congo army saying it does not exist.
Colonel John Nzenze says the M23 rebels respect the ceasefire that had been declared stating that if his troops did not do so, they would have reached the interior of the DRC and captured major cities.
The M23 is widely known to be backed by Rwanda but the Rwandese government denies the allegations which have been made by DRC President Felix Tshisekedi, France and other major reports.
Tension is high between the two countries with fears war was imminent.
