Ensemble pour la République president Moïse Katumbi spent the morning meeting envoys from superpower countries seeking assistance to investigate a politically motivated murder of his party spokesperson Chérubin Okende.
Okende was found dead in his car on a Kinshasa highway on July 13, 2023 after being kidnapped a day earlier.
He was allegedly targeted and brutally kidnapped by state agents at the premises of the Constitutional Court.
Katumbi has vowed to ensure that the truth of Okende’s death is known and brought to light.
This morning, the popular opposition leader met envoys at to UK Embassy in the DRC where he exchanged directly with the ambassadors of the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as he continues to lobby support in the investigation of Okende’s killing.
