KATUMBI & COMPATRIOTS EMBRACED IN BUTA: Massive Crowd Braves Severe To Meet The “Winning Team”

Common opposition candidate Moïse Katumbi in the company of opposition coalition partners Matata Ponyo, Franck Diongo and Seth Kikuni were on Tuesday handed a thunderous crowd in Buta territory of Bas-uele district in Orientale Province.

On Tuesday, the opposition candidates went on a campaign trail for the first time since announcement of their decision to support Katumbi’s presidential candidature in the upcoming 2023 General Elections.

Despite the heavy rains, scores of Buta residents could not resist the urge to meet Katumbi and his opposition allies now known as the “Winning Candidate Number 3”.

Like in every other territory he has visited recently around the DRC, Katumbi received massive support from residents of Buta as he continues his highly emphatic campaigns around the country.

Katumbi address the residents and promised to address the various challenges that had been affecting Buta once elected as president while Matata Ponyo, Diongo as well as Kikuni also spoke and encouraged the population to give their votes to the former Katanga Governor in order to spell a bright future for their community.

Katumbi, the Candidate Number 3, launched his presidential campaign on Monday in Kisangani and is expected to go on a vigorous tour of the DRC in the coming weeks before the elections to be held on 20th December, 2023.
