ITALY & ZAMBIA DENY KATUMBI IS THEIR NATIONAL: DRC Opposition Leader Submits Evidence Confirming He Holds No Other Nationality, “Let’s End False Narrative & Face-off At Polls”

Opposition candidate Moïse Katumbi’s Ensemble Pour la Republique party has released statement to refute the recent false narratives that the popular 2023 presidential bidder is a foreigner and holds Zambian and Italian nationalities.

Determined to have Katumbi’s candidature invalidated, incumbent Fèlix Tshisekedi and a larger part of the Kasai community have had two petitions containing of fake allegations about the opposition leader’s Congolese nationality submitted before the Constitutional Court.

In his petition submitted before the Constitutional Court, Tshisekedi’s surrogate and presidential runner Noel Tshiani claimed that Katumbi held both Italian and Zambian nationalities.

However, the Ensemble Pour la Republique party has come out to rebut the allegations part of Tshisekedi’s scheme with overwhelming evidence confirming Katumbi’s Congolese nationality.

The Ensemble Pour la Republique party has confirmed that both the Italian and Zambian authorities have officially denied Katumbi being their national.

The statement by the party comes hours after former Minister of Justice Alexis Thambwe Mwamba who issued Katumbi’s Congolese nationality document, also rubbished the assertions peddled by Tshisekedi and his Kasai cartel.

Meanwhile, the Ensemble Pour la Republique party has since encouraged Tshisekedi’s camp to refrain their illegal attempts to have Katumbi blocked from contesting and rather face him on the ballot on 20 December.
