Democratic Republic of Congo citizens are worried with the shrinking democratic space in the country after journalist Achille Kadima was summoned to the National Security Council by President Félix Tshisekedi’s special advisor.
Although journalists generally live in fear and are targetted by political players, it has never happened in the history of the country that a journalist is summoned by the National Security Council.
Kadima’s Africa News has recently published articles of a plot by State security to arrest opposition leader Moise Katumbi and former president Joseph Kabila.
Kadima turned down the invitation saying he was ready to show up but at a neutral venue.
