ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: Opposition Gears Up For May 13 Peaceful Protest In Kinshasa

The opposition has called the population in Kinshasa to join a peaceful protest and send a strong statement to the government on the insecurity and high cost of living.

In Kinshasa, the governor Gentiny Ngobila Mbakahas been notified that opposition leaders Moïse Katumbi, Delly Sesanga, Martin Fayulu and Matata Ponyo, will lead the protest on May 13, 2023.

The protest is aimed at raising awareness and sending a strong message to President Felix Tshisekedi and his government over the high cost of living in the Democratic Republic of Congo which has subjected over 80 million people to misery.

Baron Besana, a member of the Ensemble for the Republic, says the Congolese general public must join in this cause as it is aimed at bettering the lives of the general population.

The organizers have dubbed the protest “Enough is Enough” and want to denounce the growing insecurity, hunger situation, high cost of essential commodities and the chaotic organization of the upcoming election.
