Four people were injured by bullets at the Monusco base in Kitshanga during violent clashes that erupted since early morning Thursday, February 16, 2023.
According to sources, the four included two men, a woman and a girl who, along with many others, who sort refuge there when the M23 rebels backed by Rwanda Defence Forces took over Kitshanga.
The injured people were treated by Moroccan Blue Helmet soldiers who are part of the mission and their lives are said to be out of danger.
The fighting that started since Thursday morning had lasted upto around 7pm.
