DRC’S AGENT OF DEVELOPMENT: Katumbi’s FIFA Connections Gets DRC State Of The Art Football Fields

World football governing body, FIFA has reiterated its committment to funding the construction of three stadiums in the Democratic Republic of Congo thanks to the nation’s football crusader and presidential aspirant Moïse Katumbi.

In a letter addressed to TP Mazembe President Katumbi, FIFA says it is still committed and will flag off the construction of the start of the art stadiums in Beni, Butembo and Bunia.

FIFA reassured Katumbi that construction works at the identified sites for the three stadiums have been earmarked to commence in 2024 even with the insecurities in the territory.

Katumbi has lobbied for the construction of the three stadiums in the war-ravaged territories as part of his developmental agenda to end the fighting in north-east DRC.

In his bid to be one president in the upcoming elections, Katumbi has prioritized several initiatives of developmental projects in war-torn areas around the DRC to eradicate fighting and insecurities in the country.
