A senior police officer in North Kivu was found dead in his room on Tuesday.
Senior Commissioner Jose Komaya Ngbalo was found dead on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
He was the Assistant Administrator of the Lubero Territory in Lubero-centre, capital of the North Kivu.
Lubero Territory Military Administrator Colonel Kiwewa Mitela Alain announced Ngbalo’s demise and sent the establishment’s condolences to the people of the region and the family of the deceased police officer.
The senior commissioner was found lifeless in his room. It was earlier reported that he had a seizure and was due for a medical check-up.
By order of the administrative and judicial authorities, his body was taken to Lubero General Referral Hospital before being taken to Butembo awaiting the cremation programme.
Ngbalo has since the establishment of the headquarters state in North Kivu Province spent one year and 8 months in Lubero territory in his capacity.
