Opposition Engagement for Citizenship and Development (ECIDE) party President Martin Fayulu has reacted to the recent killing of several civilians by the ADF rebels in the city of Beni, North Kivu Province.
Over 60 civilians were last week butchered by the ADF rebels in different attacks causing majority of the Beni population to flee their homes to neighbouring territories as Congolese authorities struggle to protect the people and their property.
On Monday, Martin Fayulu stressed the helplessness and irresponsibility of the Felix Tshisekedi regime that has abandoned its people to their sad fate.
“Until when will the DRC continue to mourn its dead, victims of the impotence and irresponsibility of an illegitimate and ossified power in Kinshasa? The Ugandan ADF have once again struck, massacring at least 60 people near Mangina, North Kivu” Martin Fayulu wrote on X.
“Abandoned to their fate, Congolese citizens suffer widespread violence in the country every day, while in Kinshasa, we get lost in trivialities.” Martin Fayulu.
The Tshisekedi regime has so far reacted with nothing but a statement to condemn and promised to track down the ADF which continue to terrorize the eastern part of the country.
