The DR Congo home based team set to compete in the 2022 African Nations Championship, CHAN, is one of the teams to watch out for in Algeria.
As winners of the CHAN in 2009 and 2016, DR Congo enter into this tournament with the expectations of a whole nation hanging on their shoulders.
On their qualification route, DR Congo eliminated Chad to reach the finals for the sixth time in seven editions – a record since inception of the competition in 2009.
Last time out in Cameroon, they gave a good account of themselves, notably in the group stages but were eventually eliminated in the quarter-final by the host.
However there is a new technical staff in place with fresh ideas, hoping to make the Leopards great again.
