A letter purpoted to have been written by newly appointed deputy prime minister for defence Jean Pierre Bemba to Uganda President Yoweri Museveni shows signs that the former rebel leader collaborated with a foreigner to carry out heinous crime against his fellow Congolese and stole minerals from them.
Bemba, who was Congo’s Liberation Movement rebel leader in the 2000s, is captured assuring President Museveni of how he was to take care of his diamond interests in the Equator region where he was operating the MLC which terrorized Congolese.
The official was once jailed by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity but later acquitted on appeal.
President Tshisekedi has appointed Bemba as defence minister to help quell the unrest in east Congo.
The letter pours scorn on the strategy by President Tshisekedi as it clearly demonstrates that Bemba is a collaborator of the misery Congolese have endured.
So far, Uganda army has already taken over the city of Bunagana in east Congo and banned the local army from approaching the area while its military officials have pronounced the Rwanda sponsored M23 rebels as “brothers.”

In accordance with our KASESE agreements, I am obligated to report to you the observations made to me by the White House concerning their share of the cake.
The first deliveries of diamonds and 5 OKAPIs are still awaited by WASHINGTON, although you were not reassured recently that they were handed over to our correspondent. According to our agreement, the wood and coffee from the territories liberated by the MLC will be yours. Your mission manager has sent you several times in KAMPALA.
May I also be permitted to remind you that before moving on to the final stage of our Agreements, that is to say, the granting of the entire province of Equateur, we should meeting at the usual place for other modalities. To this end, I would like to reiterate, hereby, my support for the allied troops of which the Ugandan Army constitutes the backbone.
My men remain naive and I am reassured that they will serve as my human shield to accomplish this plan. As for their fate, I will follow your advice in dispersing them and subduing them politically. The secret will have to remain between us and WASHINGTON.
I ask your Excellency to accept the assurances of my deep respect
