DR Congo’s fraudster President Fèlix Tshisekedi is once again set to abuse his power after ordering the nation’s Constitutional Court to illegally validate the election of his party member Gentiny Ngobila who was found guilty of electoral malpractice.
Ngobila, the Governor of Kinshasa, recently suspended from his post after the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) invalidated his election in the 20 December polls invalidated for electoral fraud.
However, Ngobila who was found in possession of voting equipment, is set to make a majestic return to government thanks to the intervention of Tshisekedi.
Ngobila has confirmed Tshisekedi’s order to have his fraudulent re-election validated Constitutional Court.
“Don’t be afraid. We continue to follow. The president told me to go to the Constitutional Court to get our votes back. They took away our votes deliberately, we will get them back the same way” Ngobila said.
Ngobila alongside four ministers and two Governors as well as members of Tshisekedi’s UDPS party were among 82 candidates in the National and Local elections who were found guilty of electoral fraud by CENI.
