Opposition candidate Moïse Katumbi has donated an ambulance as well as several essential items to displaced victims of the war-torn city of Goma, North Kivu eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
Katumbi who arrived in the eastern DRC on Thursday in the company of compatriots Matata Ponyo Mapon, Franck Diongo and Seth Kikuni for his presidential campaigns in the region donated a brand new ambulance to assist in providing medical assistance in the region.
Among donated essential items include assorted food stuffs, medicines as well as mattresses to ease the challenges being faced by the victims.
Katumbi’s arrival in Goma has brought a rare sense of tranquility in the city where the atmosphere has been tense due to the ongoing war.
