Police in Lubumbashi yesterday used teargas and stones to disperse opposition members that gathered to protest the arrest of Ensemble pour la République president Moise Katumbi’s special advisor Salomon Kalonda.
The youths gather at the Ensemble headquarters and chanted slogans of solidarity but were dispersed by teargas.
Kalonda was arrested on Tuesday at N’djili International Airport in Kinshasa as he tries to board a plane to Lubumbashi alongside Katumbi and other party functionaries.
