THE OPPOSITION ALLIANCE: Katumbi’s Antagonist Noël Tshiani Ready To Partner With The “Devil” To Defeat Tshisekedi

Opposition pesidential candidate in the upcoming 2023 DRC General Elections Noël Tshiani says he is welcome to the idea of forming an opposition coalition to strengthen the challenge to unseat incumbent Fèlix Tshisekedi in the upcoming polls.

Leading opposition candidates in the forthcoming elections are set to convene in South Africa for a meeting to discuss the opposition coalition that will have one common candidate picked to challenge Tshisekedi with Moïse Katumbi widely tipped to be endorsed as the common candidate.

Tshiani, standing on an independent ticket, petitioned Katumbi’s candidacy in the Constitutional Court claiming he was a foreigner but the request was declared inadmissable.

However, when pressed during interview whether he would be part of a coalition with Katumbi, Tshiani said he would be open to partnering even with the “devil” to bring change to the DRC.

“If it is necessary to ally even with the devil, I am ready to do it so that we can have an overwhelming victory. We must consider all eventualities” Tshiani said.

So far seven opposition candidates have been mentioned to be part of the coalition including Moïse Katumbi, Martin Fayulu, Dénis Mukwenge, Delly Sesanga, Seth Kikuni, Franck Diongo and Marie Josée Ifoku.

The DRC goes to the polls to elect its new president on the 20th of December.
