BACK IN EUROPE: Bolingi Joins Serbian Club

Democratic Republic of Congo international striker Jonathan Bolingi has completed his return to Europe as he joined FK Vojvodina in the Serbian top-flight.

The 29-year old former TP Mazembe star, has signed a two-year contract with the club based in city of Novi Sad, northeast Serbia.

Bolingi makes his return to Europe after two years in Asia with Buriram United, the champions of Thailand where he won the league title last season.

He last featured for FC Lausanne–Sport in Switzerland on loan from Belgian side Standard Liege prior to his move to Asia in 2021.

Meanwhile, Bolingi has already gotten down to work with his new club and featured as Vojvodina’s season opener.

Unfortunately, Bolingi had a debut to forget and Vojvodina suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat at the hands of the champions Red Star Belgrade last Sunday.

Bolingi came off the substitutes bench for Vojvodina in the 52nd minute but could not much to help his new side as they succumbed to defeat in Belgrade.
