Seeing President Felix Tshisekedi galavanting in Belgium, Senegal and Oman when the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo are under attack from Rwanda is a very unfortunate scene.
How can he even afford a smile? How does he choose an inconsequential African summit at the expense of the lives of the people of eastern Congo.
People are fleeing their homes; churches are under attack but the President is on the plane moving from one country to another amassing wealth for himself and his family.
Is President Tshisekedi not Commander of the Armed Forces? Isn’t the Congolese army and its people under attack? Where is he as the leader?
Well, President Tshisekedi saw it fit to go for some AU meeting which has cost the country over $2 million in travel expenses and allowances for over 200 members of his delegation.
He can afford to talk about agriculture which we are failing to capitalize on. That’s the time we are under attack from our neigbhours in Rwanda.
Is this a president we want at a time as this?
As if that’s not enough, President Tshisekedi proceeds to Oman after the Senegal meeting. Who does that?
To make matters worse, his Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde leaves Kinshasa for Lubumbashi to launch the second phase of the voter registration exercise.
Surely, is President Tshisekedi a caring leader? Doesn’t he know that the tension with Rwanda can upset everything in the country?
Anyway, he is a careless leader. He is useless President mismanaging our national affairs.
If anything, President Tshisekedi is the real threat to the peace of Congo, not Rwanda. He is careless!
He has failed us.
