Popular opposition candidate in the upcoming 20 December Presidential Election Moïse Katumbi was greeted by a thunderous crowd upon his return home from Tanzania where he attended the inaugural African Football League matches.
Scores of his supporters and residents of Lubumbushi turned up to welcome Katumbi who was in the company of his spouse, Madamé Carine this afternoon at the Luano International Airport.
Katumbi traveled to Dar es Salaam last week to attend his club, TP Mazembe’s quarter-final first leg home encounter against Tunisian side Esperance Sportive des Tunis that ended 1-0 in favour of the Congolese giants at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Sunday.
Mazembe were force to play its home encounter against Esperance away from Lubumbushi after the DR Congo government blocked the club from hosting the important assignment in its own country.
