US State Department has said the Democratic Republic of Congo should hold the elections on time without exception.

According to submission to a US Senate Committee on Africa, the USA has made significant financial contribution to help the DRC hold its election on time.

The lawmakers have cited Zambia as a good example of democratic nation respecting the institutions of elections.
