Opposition leader Martin Fayulu has called on impostor president Félix Tshisekedi to act on the ongoing insecurities in North Kivu Province.
Fayulu has regretted that several towns in the east continue to fall under the control of the deadly M23 rebel group while Tshisekedi prioritizes other issues such as amendment of the constitution.
“Mr. Tshisekedi, the localities in the east of the DRC are falling one by one into the hands of the auxiliaries of the Rwandan army, the M23. When will you act to recover the 120 towns lost to date? Does the Constitution prevent you from telling the Congolese how our army must restore the integrity of our territory?” Fayulu wondered.
Over 120 towns have so far been occupied by the M23 rebels following clashes with the Congolese Armed Forces (FARDC).
