TSHISEKEDI WILL BE NEXT: National Members of Ruling UDPS Sign Vote of No Confidence Against Tshisekedi’s Puppet Augustin Kabuya

Confusion and chaos has become the order of the day in the DR Congo’s ruling Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS) party led by imposter president Félix Tshisekedi as members continue to disown the party’s leadership under Tshisekedi.

Party Secretary General Augustin Kabuya, an appointee and right-hand man of Tshisekedi, has had a vote of no confidence signed against him by the party’s national secretaries who have withdrawn their support of his leadership.

The National Secretaries have cited a several reasons for their decision to call for the immediate departure of Tshisekedi’s appointee including a lack of vision, risky and uncoordinated speech in public, political clientelism in the management of issues, solitary and personalized management of the party as well as utterance of insulting and tribalist remarks towards the Kasai people of Katanga region.

The National Secretaries have since called on all UDPS federations to henceforth refer to the new political order of the party before a new Secretary General is appointed.

In addition, they have announced the scheduled meeting this Friday morning to be attended by the national executive of the party, chaired by the oldest member, the national secretary Roger Mukendi.

The lack of confidence in Tshisekedi’s appointed officials promises to plunge the party in further chaos with the contemplations about a change of president also underway ahead of the 2028 elections.
