TSHISEKEDI GOES FOR CATHOLIC PRIEST: Congo Government Orders Court of Appeal to Open Criminal Case Against Respected Catholic Priest

Democratic Republic of Congo’s imposter President Fèlix Tshisekedi has ordered the Court of Cassation to open a criminal case against respected Catholic Church Priest and Archbishop of Kinshasa Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo who is being accused of spreading falsehoods and inciting the public.

Cardinal Ambongo has repeatedly sent reminders and expressed concern to the government over the deteriorating security situation in eastern parts of the country that has so far not been dealt with adequately by the President and his regime.

In a move to silence the critics of his weaknesses and incompetencies, Tshisekedi has since ordered the courts to trial Cardinal Ambongo and ultimately imprison him.

At the order of Tshisekedi, the Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation ordered the Attorney General at the Court of Appeal in Matete to institute judicial investigations against Cardinal Ambongo.

The Prosecutor has cited Cardinal Ambongo for “spreading false rumours, incitement to revolt and attacks against human lives”.

At the order of Tshisekedi, the Prosecutor has also threatened the Attorney General to be trialed for “complicity and delaying the course of justice” in case no action is taken against Cardinal Ambongo.
