TORTURED IN PRISON: Mike Mukebayi Suffers Torture While Serving Sentence at Makala

Former Kinshasa Provincial MP and opposition party member Mike Mukebayi has suffered torture and inhumane treatment while serving his sentence at the hostile Makala Central Prison.

A punitive expedition against Mukebayi is reported to have been organized on Saturday morning at around 5am in Makala.

The cell of the former provincial deputy who is considered to be Félix Tshisekedi’s “personal prisoner” and close ally of Moise Katumbi was searched and had all of his properties including cellphones, stoves and comfort items taken away from him.

Mukebayi was also heard to have been taken to ANR’s torturing point inside Makala.

Mukebayi was arrested and sentenced two year in prison last year on trumped up charges of “insulting the head of state” and “spreading false rumors.”
