REINFORCEMENT BY AIR AND LAND: AFC/M23 Rebels Reinforce Forces in Walikale

The Alliance Fleuve du Congo (AFC) & M23 Rebel Group forces have strengthened their presence in Walikale territory of North Kivu Province.

Two battalions of AFC/M23 forces arrived this Wednesday by air and road via Kigoma Airfield and Goma-Walikale axis respectively.

The aircraft carrying the AFC/M23 rebel-coalition forces is reported to have made at least seven rotations to airlift the forces from different locations around North Kivu region.

Meanwhile, several residents have taken refuge at Walikale hospital.
