REBELS IN DOHA: AFC/M23 Leaders Arrive in Doha at Emir of Qatar’s Invitation

The Alliance Fleuve du Congo (AFC) & M23 rebel group’s Deputy Coordinator Gen. Bertrand Bissimwa and Col. John Imani Nzenze, the rebel intelligence chief, have arrived in Doha, Qatar, this Friday, March 28th, 2025.

As earlier reported, the AFC/M23 have been invited by the Emir of Qatar as part of the initiated process to find a peace solution in the war-torn eastern part of the DR Congo.

Several sources suggest that a meeting between the rebels and a delegations from the governments of DR Congo and Rwanda may be held in Doha.

The rebel leaders have landed in Doha despite international arrest warrant issued against by DR Congo’s Justice Minister Constant Mutamba.
