NEW REBELLION FORMED: War Crimes Ex-Convict Thomas Lubanga Forms New Rebel Group to Fight Tshisekedi

DR Congo’s war crimes ex-convict Thomas Lubanga has officially launched his new rebel group formed to fight and oust president Félix Tshisekedi.

Having appeared in public for the first since his release a few weeks ago, the new rebellion of Lubanga, an ex-convict of the International Criminal Court (ICC) has been officially launched in Ituri, Province.

Thomas Lubanga spent 14 years behind bars in The Hague and Makala Central Prison of Kinshasa before being released in March 2020.

He had been convicted of recruiting children and making them fight in Ituri.

After 5 years since his release, Lubanga is relaunching a rebellion to fight Tshisekedi and his regime that he judges to have been compromised with cases of embezzlement, corruption, kleptocracy, kakistocracy, illegocracy, caporalism, patrimonialism, tribalism, nepotism, clientelism.
