The DR Congo national team are on the verge securing their place at the Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations as they only need one more win to qualify.
Les Leopards have arrived in Tanzania ahead of their crucial encounter with the Taifa Stars on Tuesday at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Sebastien Desabre’s charges have so far displayed the best image it needs to vigorously confront any opponent in the best possible way on the continent as they sit on top of Group H with 9 point having won all of their first three fixtures.
Speaking in an interview after a training session in Dar-es-salaam, Leopards dependable left-back Arthur Maswaku, did not hide his side’s ambitions.
“The goal is to qualify after Tuesday’s game. That’s what we’re going to try to do. In fact, we’ve been on a good dynamic since the last CAN. And we have to give a good image of ourselves. Because we have to be among the best teams on the continent,” Masuaku said.
The Leopards beat Tanzania 1-0 thanks to a second half own goal by Clement Mzize last Thursday at the Stade de Martyrs.
