Rwandan President Paul Kagame on Tuesday buried false rumours over his health state after making a public appearance when he met former Nigerian president Oluwasegun Obasanjo in the Rwandan capital, Kigali.
On Tuesday afternoon, Kagame received the former Nigerian president at the village of Urugwiro for a wide discussion ending rumours which had claimed that he had been critically ill and hospitalized abroad.
The two leaders discussed the security situation in the Great Lakes region region, as well as various key issues of continental and global importance.
They further exchanged views on the ways to go towards stability, cooperation and progress.
Obasanjo serves as the African Union’s (AU) High Representative for the Horn of Africa, a role focused on promoting peace, security, and stability in the region.
