Democratic Republic of Congo’s ruling party is about to break as members call for the head of Secretary General Augustin Kabuya.
Kabuya has been labeled as a “God of mediocrity” for having failed to defend the UDPS’ right as the main party in the Union Sacreé alliance and formation of government.
A vote of no confidence has since been effected against Kabuya as calls for his immediate resignation continue.
On Saturday, the party executives held a press briefing where they bemoaned the decision by Félix Tshisekedi to sack former General Secretary Jean Marc Kabubd who was also thrown into prison.
“It was a curse to have chased away Jean Marc Kabund to make way for Augustin Kabuya. He is the god of mediocrity. We are going to give him the diploma of incompetents,” the leader of the executives and former Minister of Defense, Sylvain Mutombo said.
Tshisekedi was coerced by his wicked mother, Maman Marthé, into sacking Kabund and later imprisoned him for denouncing the evils that had been committed in the party.
