Opposition Ensemble Pour la Republique party spokesperson Herve Diakiese has gone door-to-door campaigning in Kinshasa. In his outreach, he caught up with former national deputy Daniel Safu.
Safu was forced into hiding for his strong stance against the injustices and irregularities committed under President Fèlix Tshisekedi’s regime.
In a social media upload, Diakiese expressed his delight after meeting Safu on the streets of Kinshasa where the two as well as other Ensemble Pour la Republique members drummed up support for party leader and opposition Moïse Katumbi.
“During my door-to-door tour, I met a fellow fighter. The honorable @DanielsafuRdc. Still so Truculent and determined. Together we are strong!” Diakiese wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Safu is one of a host of Tshisekedi and his government’s critics that have been victimized for their stance against injustices and irregularities.
