Kinshasa giants AS Vita Club are currently facing a financial crisis which has affected the club’s performances, according to immediate former head coach Abdessalam Ouaddou.
Appointed in January, Ouddaou was recently sacked by Vita after the club’s start to the 2024/25 season which the Mauritanian gaffer says had been affected by the financial challenges the club currently faces.
In an interview with Afrikfoot, Ouddaou says he was left disappointed with the conditions he was compelled to work under at Vita who could barely provide befitting training facilities.
“AS Vita club is an empty shell. Despite its titles and its exploits, the club does not even have a training center. We train every day on a different field,” Ouaddou said.
“In the morning, we do not don’t know what field we are going to train on, for a club of this size, it’s just not normal,” he added.
Ouaddou the situation at the club worsened following the sudden departure of Turkish firm Milvest who had invested in the club.
