The Democratic Republic of Congo have been drawn in Group H and will face Guinea, Tanzania as well as Ethiopia in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco.
The Leopards who will be chasing their 21st appearance at the AFCON, were seeded in Pot 1 alongside 12 other best ranked teams on continent at the draw held in Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday.
Sebastien Desabre’s side are expected to take one of the two available spots in Group H to qualify for the tournament set to be held next year in Morocco.
The Leopards will renew their rivalry with the Taifa Stars of Tanzania whom they met a few months ago in Korhogo, Ivory Coast, during the last African Cup of Nations.
The qualifiers for the 2025 AFCON are set to get underway in September with CAF yet to release the fixture list for the game.
