President Felix Tshisekedi has announced that former president Joseph Kabila has taken up arms to fight his government which many Congolese accuse of stealing the vote to stay in power.
Speaking through ruling party, UDPS, high-ranking official Augustin Kabuya, Tshisekedi says Kabila has fled the country because he is the one behind the war raging in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
“For your information, as I speak to you, Joseph Kabila has fled the country, he no longer lives here,” Kabuya delivered Tshisekedi’s message to a group of UDPS militants.
“He left no trace at the DGM, he left on the quietly because it is he who is behind the war raging in the east of the country.”
Several people belonging to Kabila’s PPRD have joined Corneille Nangaa’s rebellion to fight Tshisekedi’s regime which they accuse of grandscale corruption, tribalism and stealing the elections.
