TSHISEKEDI IS TO BLAME: La Piste Party Hold Tshisekedi Responsible For Kikuni’s Critical Health Condition

Opposition Piste Pour l’Urgence party says it holds President Félix Tshisekedi and his government for the deteriorated health of their leader Seth Kikuni who is currently battling for his life in hospital.

Kikuni fell unconscious and was rushed to hospital on Sunday after suffering a post-operation relapse at Makala Central Prison where he was being detained.

In a statement released on Tuesday, La Piste Party condemned Tshisekedi regime’s inhumane acts against Kikuni who had been continuously denied request for provisional release.

“Repeated requests for provisional release have been systematically rejected. Today, it is the life of President Seth Kikuni Masudi that is at stake. We hold Mr. Félix Tshisekedi’s regime entirely responsible for this dramatic situation. We demand the immediate and unconditional release of our president, so that he can benefit from appropriate medical care,” the statement issued by La Piste Party spokesperson Nathaniel Onokomba reads.

Kikuni had been Incarcerated without trial since 2nd September, 2024 when he was arrested secret state agents and was due to appear before the Kinshasa/Gombe Peace Court on Wednesday.
