EVIL TSHISEKEDI ACTS: Tshisekedi Instructs Seizure of Phones, Money From Inmates After Images of Inhumane Living Conditions in Prison Went Viral

Democratic Republic of Congo evil leader Félix Tshisekedi has instructed the authorities to confiscate phones and money from inmates at Kinshasa’s Makala Central Prison where images of the deplorable and devilish living conditions at the facility went viral on social media.

Images shared by journalist Stanis Bujakera, a former inmate himself, shows a number inmates now having to sleep in toilets owing to insufficient space at the facility built in 1957 with a capacity of 1500 inmates.

Having attracted attention and concern of international human rights organization who have condemned the conditions provided by his government, Tshisekedi was left angered and issued an order to grab all the properties owned by inmates at the prison.

“Since 4 a.m., this July 21, 2024, Soldiers from Camp Colonel Kokolo have landed at the Makala Central Prison to recover all the telephone devices held by the Prisoners”, alerts Emmanuel Adu Cole, Activist of Human Rights, and Coordinator of the Collective of ONGDH in the DRC and the President of ONGDH FBCP.

“According to the information in our possession, these soldiers confiscated the devices and sums of money in cash. The same source indicates that these soldiers recovered 3000 US dollars in Pavilion 8 from a political detainee.”

The human rights activist has since warned of adverse consequences which may include deaths at the prison following Tshisekedi’s order to seize the inmates’ sources of survival.

“These telephone devices provide a lot of help to the prisoners for their survival because the Congolese State does not have adequate financial means to feed and care for more than 15,000 detained people”

He adds; “The consequence would be an increase in deaths in Prison. The reason why the soldiers recovered the phones is linked to the video images of the prisoners broadcast by Journalist Stanis Bujakera, a former inmate. This act due to the dissemination of images of detainees which is nevertheless real because the people have the right to be informed.”
