Opposition ECIDe party leader Martin Fayulu has called for the construction of a genuine state of law which has been disregarded under the leadership of Félix Tshisekedi.
Fayulu demands for guarantee of respect for human rights, justice and equity.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Okapi, Fayulu called for the immediate release of political prisoners who have been incarcerated unjustly.
“I demand the release of Jean-Marc Kabund, Seth Kikuni, Mike Mukebayi, Jacky Ndala, provincial deputy Alain Siwako, honorary deputy Jean-Paul Ngahangondi, pro-democracy activists Delgat Idengo, Mwamisyo Ndungo King, Fiston Isambiro, Djimy Nzialy, Zarco Sefu, three members of ECiDé and all other prisoners of conscience,” Fayulu declared.
Fayulu further asked the Tshisekedi regime to stop acts of intimidation and arbitrary arrests against the opposition.
He called on the Congolese to say no to any initiative aimed at revising or changing the Constitution of the DRC.
At the end of 2024, Martin Fayulu also deplored this “dark” period that the country is going through, marked by a disorder cleverly orchestrated since the electoral hold-up of 2018, followed by the sham elections of 2023.
