DR Congo’s main opposition parties Ensemble Pour la Republique, PPRD and the ECIDé have announced that they are set to jointly hold demonstrations to protest against the proposed change of Constitution.
President Félix Tshisekedi and his regime are pushing to change or revise the country’s Constitution to adopt a law that allows him to run for an illegal third term in 2028.
In a letter sent to Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the Interior, Jacquemain Shabani, the main opposition parties have informed the government of their organization for a series of demonstrations against the constitutional revision.
These demonstrations will be organized across the country from this month of December 2024, to raise awareness among the population against Tshisekedi’s evil initiative.
