Ensemble pour la République president Moïse Katumbi has met his ally Franck Diongo who was jailed on trumped up charges.
After his arrival in Kinshasa at the weekend to attend the funeral of assassinated party spokesperson, Chérubin Okende, Katumbi took some time to comfort Diongo.
Diongo, president of the Party of the Lumumbist Movement (MLP), was released two days after the killing of Okende.
He is one of the officials in opposition arrested for associating with Katumbi.
Katumbi’s special assistant is currently in jail on trumped up political charges.
When they met, the two political figures had a moment of fruitful exchanges.
