Opposition leader Seth Kikuni will spend more time in prison as the Kinshasa/Gombe Court decided to postpone his trial to an unknown date.
Kikuni who is now referred to as impostor president Félix Tshisekedi’s personal prisoner, is facing trumped charges of spreading falsehoods and inciting the public to revolt against the government.
Currently in poor health condition, Kikuni had been due to appear before court in Kinshasa today but the authorities have decided to push the trial forward to an indefinite date.
“We regret the fact that the law is not respected in this country. Because of the States General, a citizen will be deprived of his trial, and yet he had requested provisional freedom to appear as a free man,” Kikuni’s party spokesperson Nathaniel Onokomba said.
Kikuni was arrested last month by secret agents sent by Tshisekedi after the former denounced the impostor president’s invite to the opposition to a bogus dialogue.
