Steve Mbikayi, a member of the the Sacred Union, says DR Congo’s impostor president Félix Tshisekedi has no intentions of leaving office after 2028.
Tshisekedi has proposed amendment of the constitution in order to retain power after his final and second term in office expires in three years time.
Mbikayi has since revealed that Tshisekedi and the Sacred Union want to change the constitution in order to remain in power for at least 50 more years or simply forever.
“We must perpetuate the political family beyond 2028. Ensure that we can keep power for even 50 years, democratically!” Mbikayi declared.
Tshisekedi’s plot has triggered several reactions from the Congolese population both locally and abroad who have opposed the idea.
Warnings against Tshisekedi have been sent, insisting that the project to change the constitution in order to stay in power could well lead to his death by either having his plane shot down or assassination.
