DATE FOR TRIAL SET: Seth Kikuni Set to Appear Before Kinshasa/Gombe Peace Court on Wednesday

DR Congo’s impostor president Félix Tshisekedi’s personal prisoner and opposition leader Seth Kikuni is finally set to undergo trial after being kept in illegal detention for well over a month and half.

Kikuni was arrested on September 2nd by Tshisekedi’s secret agents and was initially taken to an unknown ANR location where he was kept for a month before being transferred to Makala Central Prison since over two weeks ago without standing trial despite the expiry of the 15-day deadline for one to appear before court as stipulated by the law.

However, Ramazani Shabani, one of Kikuni’s lawyers, has confirmed the leader of the Piste Pour l’Urgence du Congo Party will finally come before the Kinshasa/Gombe Peace Court on Wednesday.

“I can confirm that the trial opens this Wednesday before the Kinshasa-Gombe Peace Court, the summons to the accused has been served on him, he will be tried from this Wednesday,” Shabani said.

Kikuni alongside two other co-accused are being prosecuted for “spreading false rumors” and “inciting civil disobedience.”
