MOB JUSTICE: Three People Burned to Death as Goma Residents Take Justice Into Own Hands

Three people have been burned alive by an angry mob in the North Kivu provincial capital city of Goma were local authorities are struggling to find suitable solutions to curb banditry and domestic violence.

On Sunday evening, residents of Goma’s Karisimbi commune took matters into their own hands and descended two speeding motorcycles rode by a group of men just from robbing a mobile money transfer shop where they threatened the worker and fired shots to clear their way.

Three people of the robbers were thus reduced to ashes in front of the population gripped with fury and tired of compassion due to the recurrence of crime and failure by government to provide security in the city.

The nights are no longer peaceful in the provincial capital of North Kivu where bullets crackle, burglaries are at their peak with government unable to reassure the population on this situation which continues to persist.
