AT NANGAA & M23’S MERCY: Tshisekedi Sends Delegation to Meet AFC/M23 Rebel Movement in Kampala

Democratic Republic of Congo’s imposter president Félix Tshisekedi has now surrendered to political-military movement of Corneille Nangaa’s Alliance Fleuve Congo (AFC) and the M23 rebels.

After being adamant earlier, Tshisekedi has now agreed to negotiate with the AFC/M23 rebel movement who have gained immense control of the eastern part of the DR Congo.

An official from the Ugandan presidential entourage has told international news agency, AFP, that a high level has been arranged to be held in Entebbe between a delegation from the Congolese government and the AFC/M23 rebel movement.

“A high-level delegation from the government of the DRC and the M23/AFC is meeting in Kampala to bring peace to the DRC,” the Uganda official said.

The Ugandan official further confirmed that Tshisekedi and the DR Congo had been compelled to negotiate with with AFC/M23 alliance after having failed to manage the situation in the east.

“Given the complexity of the situation, this is still a secret meeting, but the details will be made public later,” the Ugandan official said on condition of anonymity.

“Our wish is to obtain a permanent ceasefire and the return of peace to the DRC,” he added.

Meanwhile, sources from the AFC/M23 movement have also confirmed the planned meeting with Tshisekedi’s delegation.

“All I know is that they (AFC/M23 were called to Kampala, nothing else,” the source said.
