TP Mazembe president Moise Katumbi has rallied Democratic Republic of Congo after an impressive 3-1 win over Guinea.
Chancel Mbemba conceded a penalty but canceled matters before half-time with an equalizer.
Yoane Wissa and scored from the spot-kick with a clever free-kick by left-back Masuaka sealed the deal for the Leopards.
Katumbi has urged the team to fight on.
“Congratulations and well done to our Leopards! This victory is deserved. It makes us proud
because it is the fruit of work, talent and surpassing oneself. Let’s stay focused for the semi-final. It is within our reach,” he twitted after victory.
Katumbi, also a politician who was robbed of political victory by electoral criminal Felix Tshisekedi, is the only top politician that has invested massively in Congolese football.
DRC will play the winner between Mali and Cote d’Ivoire in the semi-final on Wednesday.
