Congo National Police (PNC) have arrested a group of 12 people, among them witch doctors, believed to have been sent by deposed former National Assembly President Christophé Mboso to perform evil incantations at his predecessor Vital Kamerhe’s office.
The group which also included Mboso’s personal bodyguard were apprehended at Kamerhe’s office at around 1AM on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday in Kinshasa.
Mboso who was dislodged from head of Parliament by Kamerhe following elections held last month, has been trying to get his group of wizards released from police custody since their arrest on Wednesday night but the authorities have remained firm.
The former National Assembly President has tried to use over 60 people including government officials to have his witches released but to no avail.
